  • Student must be a currently enrolled Patterson student in First – 6th grade. (Kindergarteners are invited to join our Spring classes beginning January 28, 2020.)

  • An interest in learning to code.

  • Reading fluency NOT a requirement.

If your student has already participated in a Hello World AZ 101 Beginner Course, they may be a fit our Intermediate Class. Please contact us to confirm.

If you are uncertain which class your student belongs in, please contact us to discuss enrollment. It is better that the instructor need to increase the project guidelines for a student that is ahead of the class, rather than a student be frustrated by the course moving faster than their skill set and keeping the rest of the class from moving at pace.

Classes will meet on campus in the computer lab at Patterson Elementary. Students will be escorted by their teacher or released on their own to head to the computer lab (this varies on a per teacher basis, please communicate with your teacher if you want your student released on their own).
